Job Description
Chief Marketing Officer driving marketing strategy and team leadership for Maniko, a nail care innovator. Overseeing performance marketing, brand building, and international expansion.
Responsibilities:
- You develop and own Maniko’s entire marketing strategy — from performance marketing and brand building to international expansion
- You build a high-performance marketing team, manage a multi-million budget and ensure our brand grows sustainably in both eCommerce and retail
- In close collaboration with Product, Retail, Operations and Finance you drive measurable results and actively shape the future of our brand
- Develop and implement a holistic marketing strategy to achieve sustainable growth in eCommerce and retail
- Take responsibility for all marketing KPIs including CAC, ROAS, CLV and brand metrics
- Data-driven reporting and continuous optimization of marketing performance
- Strategic planning and optimization of all performance channels (Paid Social, SEA/SEO, Influencer Marketing, CRO)
- Efficient new-customer acquisition with a focus on sustainable growth and profitable ROAS
- Build and optimize CRM strategies to maximize customer lifetime value
- Develop retention programs including print mailings, events and loyalty initiatives
- Oversee creative direction for campaigns and brand assets
- Market analysis, localization and development of country-specific marketing strategies
- Manage international campaigns and partnerships
- Confident handling of attribution models and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Excel)
Requirements:
- Minimum 8–10 years of marketing experience, ideally in beauty, fashion or consumer goods
- 5+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record in building and developing marketing teams
- Demonstrable success in brand building, positioning and campaign development with measurable business impact
- Performance marketing: deep expertise in Paid Social (Meta, TikTok), Paid Search (Google), Influencer Marketing and Conversion Rate Optimization
- Confident with attribution models, BI tools (Tableau, Looker), Excel and data-driven reporting
- Experience with market entry, localization and multi-market campaigns
- Several years of responsibility for multi-million marketing budgets
- Proven track record in hiring, talent development and leading cross-functional teams
- Expertise in brand architecture, positioning and integrated campaign development
- Ability to understand complex interdependencies and develop long-term strategies
- Clear focus on impact and measurable results, strong execution skills
- Willingness to work operationally in a scale-up and not only delegate
- Decisions based on data while maintaining the courage to run creative experiments
- Inspiring leadership style that motivates, develops and drives teams to success
- Business-fluent German and English, strong presentation skills at C-level
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, no silo mentality, high level of empathy
