Job Description
Claims Technician reviewing, approving, and revising medium-complexity property and casualty insurance claims for Desjardins. Providing technical guidance and settlement support to claims advisors.
Responsibilities:
- Review claims and establish guidelines for the claims settlement process
- Serve as technical expert and provide discipline-specific support for medium-complexity claims settlements
- Help develop technical skills
- Provide technical support for contract enforcement
- Help claims advisors develop their technical skills
- Analyze and approve claims settlements
- Conduct research and serve as a resource person
- Propose solutions to conflicts and situations outside the claims advisor’s scope of authority
- Revise independent adjuster claims
Requirements:
- College diploma in a related field
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
