Job Description
Clinical Data Team Lead overseeing data management for clinical trials at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Leading project documentation, reporting, training, client liaison work, and junior staff mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Act as lead data manager for one or more projects or support the lead data manager
- Lead data management activities for individual, limited-volume or limited-complexity studies with senior team support
- Serve as interdepartmental and client liaison for data management study activities
- Apply project protocol components to daily tasks and direct others in their application
- Liaise with Project Leads and clients and communicate data management activities to management
- Develop and maintain data management project documentation files
- Independently review data management deliverables according to documented CDM guidelines
- Develop and deliver study-specific training for data management project staff
- Produce project-specific status reports and monitor study metrics
- Assist with bid preparation and bid defense meetings when required
- Assist with project forecasting, resource planning, out-of-scope activity identification and contract modifications
- Mentor junior staff on study-related tasks
- Assist with administrative and financial management of allocated projects
- Perform assigned data management activities independently and efficiently with attention to quality
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- 2+ years of previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job
- Equivalent combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience may be considered
- Ability to apply knowledge and skills while adhering to regulatory guidelines, SOPs and client expectations
- Ability to use interactive computer programs
- Strong command of English language and grammar
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work productively with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with clinical and client proprietary data
