  • Contribute to and lead the definition of the direction of the evolution of key parts of the Signaloid Cloud Compute Engine, either as an individual contributor or as a team lead.
  • Gain increased autonomy and responsibility for strategy within the engineering team.
  • Have the opportunity, based on your demonstrated performance, to take on new challenges within Signaloid.

Requirements:

  • More than three years of experience working as a backend or cloud engineer.
  • Proficiency in one or more of: TypeScript, Go, or Python.
  • Experience in implementing REST APIs and familiarity with writing API schemas.
  • Experience in AWS core services (DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, VPC, EC2/ASG, SQS).
  • Experience deploying scalable, production-grade cloud applications.
  • Experience with Git and proficiency in using Linux.
  • Ability to work in an English-speaking environment.
  • A willingness to listen to people until they feel understood.

  • **Additional Desirable Skills and Experience:**
  • Experience working at a startup.
  • Experience with SOC 2 attestation and ISO 27001 certification.
  • Experience with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and load testing (e.g., k6).
  • Experience in Test-Driven Development.
  • Some exposure to frontend development; comfort occasionally working outside the backend layer when needed.
  • Experience developing full-stack applications.

Benefits:

  • **A flexible remote-first work environment**
  • Be part of an international team with the flexibility to choose where you live, as long as you are available during the working hours of 09:00 to 17:00 UK time.
  • Join the rest of the team several times each year for an in-person session somewhere in Europe.
  • **Competitive compensation**
  • Yearly bonus based on company's *Objectives and Key Results (OKR)* performance and bi-yearly bonus based on your project team's OKR performance.
  • Simple transparent compensation across the company, with four pay levels, in all roles, based on skill level: Contributor, Senior Contributor, Lead Contributor, and Principal Contributor.
  • All full-time employees receive attractive stock options package.
  • **A driven but respectful environment**
  • We never speak ill of others even if we differ in our viewpoints; we show up every day with a sense of urgency; we treat each other with respect as though each day were our last.
  • No isolated "projects": No person in the team works in isolation and a successful outcome for the thread of work you lead will inherently depend on getting help from (and helping) other members of the team.
