Job Description
Cloud operations engineer maintaining NICE’s AWS, Windows, Linux, and datacenter infrastructure. Supporting secure, reliable production systems during the 10 PM–6 AM night shift.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, monitor, and support enterprise production infrastructure environments to ensure maximum uptime and performance
- Administer AWS cloud resources and services, ensuring security, scalability, and operational excellence
- Support infrastructure platforms and applications of medium to high complexity across cloud and datacenter environments
- Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve operational issues according to defined processes and SLAs
- Analyze operational metrics and enhance infrastructure performance through continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage DNS, FTP, IIS, application environments, Active Directory, and identity management solutions
- Participate in on-call rotations and communicate critical events to stakeholders, operational teams, and leadership
- Support physical datacenter operations, including hardware installation, cabling, racking, maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades
- Manage user accounts and permissions through AWS IAM and other identity management platforms
- Implement server updates, capacity planning, operating system patching, and infrastructure optimization initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of experience supporting large-scale production infrastructure environments
- 3+ years of hands-on Windows Server administration experience in enterprise production environments
- 3+ years of experience configuring and supporting server hardware and operating systems
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and timelines
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Domains, DNS, and enterprise infrastructure services
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating system patching and maintenance
- Intermediate Linux administration skills and practical operational experience
- Experience following change management processes and operational governance standards
- Experience working within PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials, or other regulated compliance environments
- Experience with AWS EKS and ECS container platforms
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet
- Experience managing SAN and NAS storage environments
- Experience with Okta identity and access management solutions
- Experience supporting hardware lifecycle management and vendor coordination activities
- Experience managing Cisco UCS environments
- Strong AWS monitoring and infrastructure management experience
- Experience with PowerShell and other scripting languages for automation and operational efficiency
