Job Description
Commercial Analytics Manager supporting Palm Bay International, a major U.S. importer of wines and spirits. Delivering Power BI-driven sales insights, opportunity analysis, and data training for Western U.S. commercial teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact and dedicated, embedded Business Intelligence support for the assigned division.
- Maintain daily communication and close collaboration with DVPs, Regional Managers, District Managers, and Strategic Account Leads on sales, performance-to-plan, and results.
- Deliver execution-focused insights and thought leadership to surface sales and program results, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead opportunity analysis, including targeted account and subset identification, distribution gap analysis, display execution and effectiveness, and key/BTG account opportunities.
- Communicate market-level implications of Strategic Account programming, distribution wins, and losses.
- Develop market-specific tools and deliver real-time support and training for field teams using data in selling situations.
- Provide responsive ad-hoc analytics support and division-level deep dives for distributor GSMs, meetings, and retail sales calls.
- Partner with the Commercial Analytics Analyst and broader BI team on Power BI reporting, tool development, and solution-based approaches.
- Support planning, program tracking and ROI, launch/reset execution, and distributor and retail Top-to-Top meetings.
- Identify opportunities to improve analytics processes and tools with Sales, Marketing, and Brand Excellence.
- Support distributor transitions and ERP system changes while ensuring reporting continuity.
- Translate complex data sets into executive-level presentations and insight decks for senior leadership.
- Advance a data-driven culture within the division.
- Join division sales leaders at key distributor meetings to understand and address business challenges.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 5–10 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, sales analytics, and/or category insights
- Alcohol beverage experience required
- Working knowledge of Power BI and data modeling concepts
- Ability to guide report development and interpret DAX-based analyses
- Experience reading, interpreting, and deriving insights from Circana/Nielsen and distributor syndicated data
- Commercial experience partnering with sales levels from executive to field to derive audience-targeted insights
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, teamwork, maturity under pressure, and problem-solving ability
