Job Description
Communications Manager at Thorn responsible for media relations and communications strategy. Collaborating within a diverse team to extend thought leadership in child safety and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Support execution of Thorn's thought leadership and earned media efforts
- Write and produce media materials including pitches, press releases, and backgrounders
- Lead social media editorial planning and engagement
- Monitor the external landscape for communication opportunities and risks
- Write and produce blog posts, newsletters, and internal updates
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in public relations or communications
- Proficiency in using media monitoring and PR tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
- Experience with project management tools, such as Asana or similar.
