Job Description
Community Manager growing Reddit’s Dutch communities through moderator development, data-driven initiatives, and localized consumer growth. Supporting Reddit’s international expansion beyond the US.
Responsibilities:
- Gain a deep understanding of the Dutch market to identify user and local moderator challenges and market opportunities
- Iterate, innovate, and scale Reddit’s consumer growth playbook
- Recognize new opportunities and suggest bold ideas and programs
- Persuade internal teams to align on new plans
- Build strategic plans to cultivate, recruit, educate, and grow a local moderator community
- Implement a conversion funnel to onboard power users and external creators as active moderators
- Communicate quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the international consumer growth playbook
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, set KPIs, and execute impactful community initiatives
- Use data to uncover community and moderator insights influencing the local market team
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and BD teams
Requirements:
- 5+ years of community development, project management, growth, operations, or product consulting experience
- Track record of community-led projects that have driven business impact
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Dutch culture, including current events, politics, customs, traditions, language, topics of interest, and taboos
- Nuanced comprehension of the Dutch digital landscape and internet culture
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, local users, moderators, partners, content creators, and influencers
- Strong execution and high attention to detail
- Interest and ability in developing and driving projects, framing issues, seeking solutions, testing hypotheses, and iterating on process improvements
- Proficiency in Dutch and English
- Candidates must be based in the Netherlands
