Job Description

Compensation Manager designing equitable, compliant pay programs for YA Group, an international forensic consulting and engineering services organization. Advising leaders through benchmarking, analytics, governance, and annual compensation reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and administer base pay, variable pay, incentive, and bonus programs
  • Build and maintain salary structures, pay grades, and pay ranges through benchmarking
  • Analyze plan effectiveness, payout trends, and alignment to business goals
  • Participate in and analyze third-party compensation surveys to assess market positioning
  • Conduct job evaluations and match positions to external market data
  • Prepare compensation analyses, reports, and recommendations for executive leadership
  • Ensure compensation programs comply with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations to develop and maintain compensation policies, guidelines, and approval processes
  • Establish governance procedures for promotions, market adjustments, and off-cycle compensation changes
  • Develop and deliver manager training on compensation program administration
  • Create tools, guidelines, and resources to support consistent and fair pay decisions
  • Maintain and update job descriptions on a regular review cycle
  • Oversee job leveling and career framework development
  • Develop compensation dashboards and reports for leadership review
  • Track compensation program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data
  • Support annual compensation review processes, including merit, promotion, and equity adjustments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive compensation experience, including program design and administration
  • Strong proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
  • Prior experience in a mid-to-large employer environment or HR consulting setting
  • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
