Job Description
Compliance Associate supporting Medicare/ACA regulatory operations at Senior Market Sales. Managing investigations, audits, marketing approvals, training, and compliance reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage carrier compliance investigations of alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct
- Record notifications, coordinate internal and external communications, and track investigations for timely responses
- Identify compliance trends through internal and external reporting and help develop compliance guidelines and tools
- Assist with call center oversight
- Coordinate, maintain, and monitor compliance records, reports, and analyses
- Assist with internal and external audits and designated compliance matters
- Review agent-created advertisements, social media, and websites
- Provide compliance guidance to internal and external parties
- Assist with submitting marketing materials to carriers and regulators for approval
- Assist the Compliance Officer with administering and improving the Compliance Program
- Assist with reporting violations or potential violations to authorized enforcement agencies
- Monitor statutes and regulations and communicate updates throughout the Company and downstream agents
- Help develop and oversee compliance training for employees and downstream agents
- Monitor and coordinate compliance activities across business units and track key compliance metrics
- Identify compliance vulnerabilities and risks and help implement corrective action plans
- Serve on relevant internal and external committees and assist with special projects
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field
- One (1) or more years of compliance experience
- Insurance industry or related field (financial services or marketing) experience
- Carrier certification with MA/PDP
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws, as well as industry regulations
- Working knowledge of insurance services industries
- Knowledge of general industry procedures, practices and terminology
- Knowledge of systems management
- Knowledge of program and project management, including outcomes, quality assurance, and satisfaction measurement and interpretation
- Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, motivation and training
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Outlook preferred
- Strong verbal and written English proficiency required; bilingual Spanish and English preferred
- Ability to read, write and communicate English effectively
- Ability to maintain company policies, including confidentiality and safety policies
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and make and execute decisions
- Ability to maintain organization and attention to detail while handling multiple urgent requests
