Job Description
Analyst in Payment Operations at Fanatics Commerce managing merchant ID structure and optimizing payment channels. Collaborating to analyze costs and enhance authorization performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the company’s Merchant ID (MID) structure across brands, channels, and geographies.
- Collaborate with internal teams on a quarterly basis to review and optimize the company’s payment and MID structure, supporting cost efficiency and improved authorization performance.
- Coordinate ongoing touchpoints with the FHI Business Development team to gather insights on the pipeline for new payment partner relationships, supporting proactive optimization and strategy.
- Generate, maintain, and analyze reports and dashboards to track payment processing costs, authorization performance, and operational trends.
- Support onboarding, setup, and ongoing maintenance of merchant accounts, gateways, and acquiring relationships.
- Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day payment issues, collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures for all payment partner relationships.
Requirements:
- 1–3+ years of experience in operations, payments, or financial services.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large transactional datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Excel, SQL, or business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
