Job Description
Content Moderator maintaining a safe online environment for a global eCommerce platform. Reviewing and moderating user content to enforce policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Review and moderate user-generated content to ensure compliance with platform policies and guidelines
- Identify and report content that violates safety standards, community guidelines, or legal requirements
- Follow established moderation procedures to maintain consistency in enforcement
- Meet accuracy and productivity targets while making fair and objective moderation decisions
- Escalate complex cases to senior moderators or policy teams when necessary
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy when handling sensitive content and user data.
Requirements:
- 6 months-1 year of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related trust and safety fields
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review content that may include hate speech, fraud or misinformation/disinformation
- Basic understanding of content moderation tools, workflows, and community guidelines
- Awareness of cultural differences and their impact on online communities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to document moderation decisions clearly.
