Job Description
Corporate Architect engaging in software architecture for digital transformation at Verity. Seeking expertise in banking sector and microservices architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and list business problems (subdomains) based on scenarios and requirements.
- Structure problems into relevant business subdomains.
- Identify high-level business capabilities required to support the company’s strategy.
- Properly classify capabilities, demonstrating understanding of how they relate to business objectives and identified problems.
- Extract and organize requirements from scenarios and specifications.
- Classify requirements (functional, non-functional, business, etc.).
- Link requirements to the identified business problems and capabilities.
- Define the Target (TO-BE) architecture that solves the business problems and meets the requirements.
- Identify transitional architectures for gradual migration, when necessary.
- Ensure the architecture aligns with defined architectural styles (e.g., Microservices).
- Define relevant value flows for the business, demonstrating how capabilities and features interconnect to generate value.
- Model interoperability between features, showing how different system components communicate and exchange information.
- Identify Building Blocks (reusable components) in the architecture, demonstrating a focus on efficiency and standardization.
- Apply microservice decomposition patterns (e.g., Domain-Driven Design, Bounded Contexts) to ensure scalability, maintainability, and service independence.
- Apply the TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM) in the context of projects.
- Justify the choices of guidelines, approaches, and frameworks used (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT).
- Adapt frameworks and methodologies to the specific needs of each project, demonstrating flexibility and pragmatism.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in large-scale software architecture projects, preferably in the banking or financial sector.
- Hands-on experience defining and implementing microservices-based architectures.
- Experience using architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and development best practices.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with various development technologies and platforms (e.g., Java, .NET, Cloud, etc.).
- Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Knowledge of modeling tools (e.g., UML, BPMN).
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), both strategic and tactical patterns.
- Knowledge of the banking sector, its products, services, regulations, and challenges.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex business problems, translating them into architectural solutions.
- Communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders and ensure architecture alignment with business objectives.
- Ability to work in a team and provide technical leadership to other team members.
- Strategic vision and the ability to anticipate technology trends.
