Job Description
Corporate Controller overseeing end-to-end accounting functions for Appriss Retail. Managing compliance, reporting, and team development within an AI-enabled finance organization.
Responsibilities:
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Lead and develop a team of 6 accounting professionals
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP including ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting
- Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and data governance framework
- Own external audit relationship and manage all audit deliverables
- Lead and implement AI and automation initiatives
- Support CFO on covenant compliance reporting and board-level financial reporting
- Drive chart of accounts rationalization and systems optimization
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3-5 years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role
- PE-backed company experience strongly preferred
- CPA designation
- Active user and advocate of AI tools in accounting workflows
- Strong technical accounting foundation combined with operational mindset
- SaaS or subscription software industry experience highly preferred
- NetSuite experience a plus; experience with ERP implementation or data governance projects a differentiator
