Job Description
Part-time Corporate Counsel evaluating AI-generated answers on Australian commercial and contract law for 24-MAG LLC. Comparing platforms, scoring legal accuracy, and writing professional feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Review AI-generated responses to realistic questions involving Australian law
- Assess legal accuracy, completeness, reasoning quality, and practical relevance
- Compare identical legal prompts across two AI platforms
- Identify meaningful differences in legal reasoning, accuracy, and usefulness
- Score responses against a provided standardised rubric
- Provide concise written justifications for each evaluation
- Explain significant legal errors, omissions, or reasoning weaknesses
- Document relevant differences between competing AI responses
- Complete assigned evaluations according to project deadlines
- Help improve the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated legal analysis
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of professional experience as in-house legal counsel practising in Australia
- Strong command of Australian law
- Substantial experience with commercial and contract matters
- Experience advising businesses on practical legal issues
- Strong ability to evaluate complex legal reasoning
- Excellent written English and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently using structured evaluation criteria
- Strong professional judgment and consistency when reviewing legal work
- A legal degree or equivalent professional legal qualification is highly relevant
- Professional qualifications appropriate to legal practice in Australia may strengthen an application
- Experience with legal research or analysis review, legal technology, AI-related legal matters, rubric-based legal review, or AI-generated legal content is advantageous
