Job Description
Corporate development leader advancing strategic alliances and growth opportunities for CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA personal-lines insurer. Coordinating enterprise initiatives, business cases, governance, and executive execution.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and advance strategic alliances, vendor relationships, and new business opportunities
- Serve as the primary intake lead for new alliance and vendor opportunities across CSAA
- Guide initiatives from initial discovery through executive recommendation
- Cultivate relationships with prospective organizations, professional associations, and external contacts
- Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and opportunity assessments
- Develop financial analyses and strategic business cases for executive decision-making
- Coordinate cross-functional evaluations of new business opportunities
- Collaborate with Product Strategy & Development, Legal, Claims, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Operations, and other functions
- Support due diligence, contract negotiations, implementation planning, governance activities, and executive approvals
- Maintain transparency into the strategic opportunity pipeline and improve governance and evaluation processes
- Coordinate strategic company initiatives across business functions, managing dependencies and tracking deliverables
- Develop project plans, executive communications, decision materials, and recommendations
- Organize complex initiatives and drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Track decisions, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
- Prepare presentations, business cases, briefing materials, and executive recommendations
- Present recommendations, progress updates, and insights to leadership
- Build relationships across business functions and represent CSAA with prospective organizations, vendors, and external contacts
- Facilitate discussions, document decisions, communicate next steps, and maintain execution momentum
- Share knowledge, identify process improvements, and strengthen organizational capabilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Seven or more years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, program management, corporate strategy, product strategy, sales, consulting, or related business functions
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Management, Economics, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience within the Property & Casualty insurance industry
- Demonstrated success identifying, developing, evaluating, and advancing strategic partnerships or complex business opportunities
- Master's degree in Business Administration or related field is a plus
- Professional certifications related to project/program management, business analysis, insurance, or strategic management are a plus
- Strong business acumen
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- Ability to travel as needed, including for divisional/team meetings and other in-person meetings
- Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the United States
