Job Description
Responsable R&D développant les gammes cosmétiques d’Olyos, groupe européen de santé naturelle. Pilotage des formulations, transferts industriels, innovation et lancements produits.
Responsibilities:
- Establish development recommendations and propose new products
- Develop project specifications for innovation or reformulation projects, from ingredient sourcing to planning and scientific and marketing valorization of formulations, in compliance with regulations
- Manage industrial transfer projects for formulations and oversee formulation, testing, industrialization and product validation stages
- Manage interactions with laboratories, manufacturers and external partners
- Develop training materials for the pharmacy sales force and the medical visit network with the marketing team
- Contribute to technology scouting and innovation
- Monitor market trends, innovations, ingredients, consumer expectations and scientific publications
- Analyze formulations already on the market
- Support product launches and commercialization and respond to inquiries about developed products
- Perform any tasks related to the role necessary for the proper functioning of the R&D department
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in cosmetology, cosmetic formulation, engineering or equivalent
- Pharmacist degree with cosmetic specialization
- Dual scientific and marketing skills would be appreciated
- Minimum 3 to 5 years in the same position
- Creativity and a taste for innovation, with trend monitoring
- Strong interest in cosmetic trends and knowledge of cosmetic actives and their modes of action
- Good knowledge of skin physiology and biology
- Proficiency in cosmetic formulation
- Management of product development projects, from ideation to market launch
- Coordination of multidisciplinary teams
- Management of timelines, priorities, budgets and deadlines
- Ability to anticipate risks, problem-solving, arbitration and decision-making in a multi-project environment
- Clear communication and ability to unite stakeholders
- Understanding of efficacy and tolerance testing
- Knowledge of regulatory, quality and industrial constraints related to cosmetic development
- Ability to communicate scientific information in plain language and a taste for training
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong writing skills
- English required
- Italian highly recommended
- Spanish is a plus
- Strong interest in AI tools; advanced proficiency in multiple tools is a plus
- Managerial status
- Availability ASAP
