Job Description
CPC Processor I handling release-of-information calls and inquiries for Datavant, a healthcare data collaboration platform. Documenting resolutions while meeting customer service, productivity, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and conduct business on the telephone while maintaining excellent customer service
- Answer release-of-information-related telephone calls and inquiries accurately and promptly
- Review, research, resolve, and respond to inquiries received by telephone, email, or written correspondence
- Document calls, inquiries, and resolutions in appropriate software systems
- Follow department- and site-specific processes and procedures
- Meet and maintain productivity and quality assurance expectations
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Maintain strict confidentiality of information
- Maintain professionalism and rapport with coworkers and management
- Communicate problems, complaints, and incidents promptly
- Perform work according to training, management direction, and facility-specific procedures
- Attend mandatory employee meetings and training sessions
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record and report to work as scheduled
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institute recognized by the State Department of Education
- Friendly, professional manner of communication
- Good customer service skills
- Experience with a multi-line phone system is required
- Computer proficiency with MS Office at intermediate/advanced level
- One year of experience would be beneficial
- Experience in data entry, medical records, health care, insurance claims processing, and proofreading/editing documents would be beneficial
- Ability to stay organized while working quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- Must pass annual Introductory HIPAA examination
- Required to take and pass a 90-day ROI Certification course with a score of 85% or higher
- Must complete post-offer health screenings and provide proof of or complete required vaccinations when applicable
- This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship
- Must be available to work an 8.5-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM Eastern Time
