Job Description

Consultant position managing data architecture and governance solutions for a Brazilian pharmaceutical company. Engaging with internal stakeholders and driving data governance initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the entire lifecycle of data solutions — catalogs, metadata, integrations and analytical models — from architectural conception through operational governance to eventual decommissioning.
  • Serve as the central point of reference for managing the data platform backlog, prioritizing maintenance, enhancement and bug-fix requests in alignment with corporate strategy and business areas.
  • Identify needs and opportunities to improve data architecture and governance, working in partnership with internal areas and specialist teams.
  • Facilitate communication between data teams and functional areas, and collaborate with vendors and technology partners to implement scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, security and traceability, tracking maturity indicators in governance and the reliability of corporate information.
  • Support contract and service management related to data platforms, contributing to budgetary control and consistent technical decisions.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market research on data governance practices and solutions, monitoring trends and promoting alignment with requesting areas and data committees.
  • Orchestrate the data platform as a product, defining priorities, leading rituals and ensuring deliveries that generate real value for users.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Data Science or related fields.
  • Practical experience with data architecture and data governance.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and backlog management (e.g., JIRA).
  • Technical knowledge of Azure, Big Data, Databricks and data modeling.
  • Experience acting as a data consultant, connecting internal client needs to Architecture and Governance areas (Engineering, Data Science and Data Analysis).
  • Collaborative profile and ability to lead agile ceremonies, acting consultatively with different stakeholders.
  • Awareness of emerging trends in data governance and available market solutions.
  • Ability to drive organizational data maturity, turning information into a competitive advantage.
