Job Description
Data center infrastructure specialist designing and deploying NVIDIA data center solutions. Planning infrastructure, cabling, and vendor-led onsite implementation for customers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data center infrastructure solutions for customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy data center infrastructure.
- Plan data center floor plans, rack elevations, and simulations.
- Plan cable deployments, including connection requirements, port assignments, activity timing, standard methodologies, and point-to-point design.
- Deploy and support NVIDIA products.
- Validate and update work instructions for data center activities.
- Provide input for data center standards updates.
- Balance multiple activities and priorities and participate in project calls.
- Document processes and maintain event logs.
- Escort and oversee on-site work delivered by partners and third-party vendors.
- Interact with customers, partners, and internal teams to analyze, define, and implement large-scale data center projects.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a data center infrastructure engineer, field service engineer or similar with background in designing and implementing data center infrastructures.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- In-depth knowledge of data center environments, servers, and network equipment.
- Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.
- Solid understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team, in a fast and highly dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in documenting processes.
- Willingness to travel.
- Network certification such as CCIE.
- Knowledge of InfiniBand Technology.
