Job Description
Senior Frontend Infrastructure Engineer evolving Seeq’s React infrastructure, design systems, and reusable patterns. Building frontend foundations for Seeq’s industrial process-data insight software.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the evolution of Seeq’s frontend system, improving component quality, consistency, usability, and developer experience across the product
- Shape frontend foundations used to build clear, consistent, high-quality experiences across data-dense workflows
- Build systems that support AI-driven development by codifying best practices for agents
- Leverage and adapt open-source systems such as Zustand, TanStack Query, and StyleX
- Ensure refactors introducing new patterns or libraries meet a high bar for quality and completeness
- Partner with teams relying on frontend infrastructure to roll out changes smoothly
- Create, evolve, and ship production design systems or component libraries
- Collaborate through code review, pairing, documentation, mentoring, and cross-team work
- Engage with customers and teams to understand features and pain points
- Drive frontend improvements from identifying gaps through completion
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in software development, with a solid record of designing, building, and evolving complex software systems over a period of years
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and HTML primitives
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, or significantly evolving shared frontend systems such as design systems, component libraries, state-management architecture, styling systems, or reusable application frameworks
- Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, including state management, server/client data flow, component composition, rendering behavior, and application performance
- Experience building reusable frontend components and patterns with careful attention to API design, accessibility, responsiveness, styling architecture, usability, and long-term maintainability
- Experience leading or contributing significantly to large-scale frontend refactors, migrations, or adoption of new architectural patterns across a production application
- Strong judgment in evaluating and adopting open-source frontend technologies, with the ability to extend existing tools rather than defaulting to custom solutions
- Ability to diagnose root causes of complex frontend defects and performance issues rather than treating symptoms
- Experience creating clear technical documentation, conventions, and examples that help other engineers successfully adopt shared systems
- Ability to influence technical direction beyond your own feature area through design reviews, code reviews, pairing, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration
- Strong product sense and the ability to partner with designers and product teams to create clear, consistent experiences across complex workflows
- Ability to build responsive, scalable web experiences across devices and partner with designers to ensure visual consistency
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, remote environment
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Scrum or Kanban
- At Staff level, demonstrated experience setting frontend technical direction or creating shared architectural patterns adopted by multiple engineers or teams
- Must be authorized to work in the country in which you reside
- Seeq does not sponsor US F1 or H-1B work visas
Benefits:
- Competitive salary plus cash bonus incentives
- 12-week paid Seeq family leave
