Job Description
Database Administrator in a challenging financial sector environment. Responsible for database architecture, performance, and continuous improvement with documentation and training.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to critical and highly complex database requests, preparing technical documentation to support the team for future demands.
- Lead, with autonomy aligned with management, database-specific tasks in On-Premise and Cloud environments, making technical decisions according to business needs.
- Propose and implement solutions for innovation projects, continuous improvement and environment optimization, acting as a technical reference for other analysts.
- Implement automated routines for monitoring, alerting, backup and restore, ensuring availability, performance and reliability of environments.
- Resolve high-complexity incidents and support the team with lower-complexity incidents.
- Implement and maintain relational and non-relational database environments, ensuring technical documentation.
- Monitor new technologies and trends, proposing improvements that add value to the team and the business.
- Deliver training, share technical knowledge and support team development.
- Review and propose improvements to processes, business rules and system solutions, ensuring adequate levels of quality, security and performance.
- Support the Database Architect in query optimization, and assist with access management, migrations, upgrades and compliance with security and audit standards.
Requirements:
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems;
- MySQL DBMS (intermediate to advanced level).
- SQL Server DBMS (intermediate to advanced level).
- Experience with MySQL InnoDB Cluster.
- Experience with SQL Server Always On.
- Experience with MySQL Router.
- Database backup and restore routines.
- Relational (with extensive experience in MySQL) and non-relational databases.
- NoSQL databases.
- Automation using Python, Shell (Bash) or Ansible.
- Databases in cloud environments.
- Project management (basic level).
