Job Description
Assists personal injury pre-litigation team by organizing key information for settlement demands. Enhances case flow through efficient management of documents and client communication.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and review case documents, including medical records, billing statements, and police reports.
- Build treatment timelines and medical summaries to support demand preparation.
- Track outstanding medical records and bills, and follow up with providers as needed.
- Calculate medical damages (specials) and identify wage loss or lien details.
- Maintain clean, organized digital files with properly labeled exhibits.
- Assist in compiling supporting documents (photos, invoices, reports) for use in demand letters.
- Communicate with clients when clarification or additional info is needed.
- Provide general administrative support to Demand Writers and Case Managers.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience working in a U.S. personal injury law firm (plaintiff-side preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and treatment summaries.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with case management software (Filevine is a plus, but not required).
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic document formatting.
- Prior experience building timelines or preparing case summaries is a nice to have.
- Understanding of California personal injury processes and terminology is a nice to have.
