Job Description
Design Lead elevating creative quality across Quadmark’s digital and learning experiences. Coaching designers, shaping client solutions and strengthening team delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead creative quality across the portfolio by interpreting briefs, client objectives, brand guidance and feedback
- Continue hands-on design work, especially on complex or high-impact projects
- Establish clear and effective creative direction
- Review work and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback
- Maintain visual standards and improve templates, assets and guidelines
- Manage designers through regular 1:1s, coaching, feedback and development conversations
- Set expectations, recognise performance and create opportunities for growth and ownership
- Monitor workloads and priorities and allocate work according to capacity and capability
- Identify delivery risks and remove blockers
- Contribute to kick-offs, workshops and solution conversations
- Present creative thinking and explain design decisions to clients and stakeholders
- Explore new tools, trends and creative practices to improve quality, efficiency and ways of working
- Partner with Designers, Content Writers, Video Editors, Developers, Project Managers, Learner Experience Leads and Client Partnership Leads across digital and learning experiences
Requirements:
- Experienced designer with excellent visual judgement
- Strong understanding of brand, digital design and user experience
- Ability to provide clear, specific and constructive creative feedback
- Experience coaching designers and building confidence and capability
- Ability to translate client challenges into clear creative direction
- Confident communication with clients and colleagues from different disciplines
- Organisation and ability to balance competing projects, priorities and deadlines
- Ability to take ownership of problems and solve them collaboratively
- Curiosity about new tools, technologies and ways of working
- Ability to balance creative ambition with commercial and operational realities of client work
- Ability to create an environment where people feel trusted to contribute, experiment and do great work
