Job Description

Development Coordinator managing project plans, execution, and administration for a rapidly growing nonprofit fundraising team. Coordinating leadership, stakeholders, timelines, and project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Chief Development Officer, leadership, and project stakeholders to organize project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Perform administrative duties including scheduling, meetings, and document management
  • Secure project approval, resource availability, and timelines; manage project progress
  • Coordinate leadership input, ideas, and feedback during work sessions
  • Complete detailed project plan documents, including work structure, schedule, and assigned responsibilities
  • Manage and communicate overall project objectives and goals
  • Manage project execution from start to finish and track progress
  • Establish rapport with collaborating departments and teams to achieve project goals
  • Meet regularly with the Chief Development Officer to communicate project milestones and status, provide insights, escalate issues, and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure project outcomes align with desired impact and results
  • Complete lessons learned and present project outcomes and findings to the Chief Development Officer and stakeholders
  • Assemble and archive project documents after project completion

Requirements:

  • At least three (3) years of project management and/or administrative experience
  • Experience working with cross-functional operational teams
  • Experience participating in project teams in planning, organizing and carrying out tasks or assignments
  • Experience working in a nonprofit fundraising and workforce environment preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and applications
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce) a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple, cross-functional projects and implement problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and with a broad range of people to support programs and projects
  • Ability to foster teamwork and work cooperatively and effectively with others
  • Poised and engaging, empathetic communications style and enthusiasm
  • Fast-paced and results-oriented, with the ability to work in a timely manner with multiple deadlines and competing requirements
  • Strong written, presentation, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Good judgment, professionalism, and the highest standards of ethical conduct and confidentiality
