Job Description

Digital Content Manager using social media and video storytelling for civic empowerment projects. Generating content ideas and collaborating with teams to build a community and brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the digital habits of our target audience of women who are low news consumers and not highly partisan.
  • Optimize strategy using reporting & analytics to refine program strategy.
  • Identify best and worst performing content monthly and use data for decisions.
  • Stay abreast of trends and best practices in digital marketing.
  • Generate compelling programming ideas for social media and website content.
  • Curate a cohesive user experience across platforms with the Social Media Manager.
  • Project manage editorial calendar for external content.
  • Work with and across teams to share audience insights.
  • Collaborate with the video production team on content development.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years working in digital media, communications, marketing, or similar creative role.
  • Experience developing and/or producing video content.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or other tool for social media graphics.
  • Strong writing skills, preferably across multiple media.
  • Exceptional proofreading skills.
  • Understanding of social media marketing and growth strategies.
  • Experience managing vendor and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience applying data and qualitative research to make program recommendations.
  • Commitment to understanding race, class, gender, and other equity issues as part of your work.
  • Travel up to 20% (traveling for video shoots, ~3-5 times per year, and in-person retreats, ~1-3 times per year).
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
