Job Description

Director leading clinical product development at Flourish Health, a mental-health company serving underserved populations. Translating care workflows into scalable products and driving clinical adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the VP of Clinical R&D on the conception and development of clinical products
  • Translate clinical and operational needs into product features and technical requirements
  • Provide clinical best-practice, care-team, and operational feedback to product and technology partners
  • Coordinate cross-functional workflows, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholders from concept through development and launch
  • Identify and address workflow, operational, and implementation considerations
  • Translate clinical programming frameworks into actionable care delivery workflows
  • Lead clinical and operational execution of product features from release through implementation and adoption
  • Develop and deliver training and supporting materials for clinical teams
  • Coordinate post-release support and resolve implementation, training, and workflow challenges
  • Monitor product adoption, effectiveness, and team feedback
  • Establish feedback loops among care teams, Clinical, Product, and Engineering
  • Identify improvements to product functionality, clinical workflows, and user experience
  • Provide clinical expertise for prompts, AI training tools, and AI-enabled clinical workflows
  • Support testing and validation of AI-enabled products and workflows for clinical integrity, usability, and patient safety
  • Monitor AI-enabled tools and recommend improvements
  • Maintain a small caseload of 1–3 patients or provide clinical consultation on high-acuity patients

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in behavioral health, healthcare operations, healthcare technology, clinical program development, or a related field; relevant years of master’s-level education may count toward this requirement
  • 8+ years of experience building and improving clinical and care operations, partnering directly with product and technology teams, working in digital mental health, or in a closely related environment
  • Experience translating clinical workflows into product requirements, system designs, or technology solutions
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving change management initiatives
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate between clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and startup adaptability
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Preferred: License in clinical mental health (LPC/LMHC, PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Willingness to obtain licensure in all 50 states
  • Preferred: Experience working in a startup environment during a period of rapid growth and scale
  • Preferred: Experience with AI-enabled healthcare products, including AI training, evaluation, implementation, or workflow integration
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Agile product development
