Job Description

Director of Integrated Communications at athenahealth developing and executing integrated communication strategies. Partnering with the Chief Product & Operations Officer and managing external visibility and media relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary communications partner to the Chief Product & Operations Officer
  • Build and run an integrated annual communications plan for the Product & Operations organization
  • Identify and develop media-ready story angles
  • Develop and execute external visibility strategy for the Chief Product & Operations Officer
  • Ensure message accuracy and coordinate reviews
  • Proactively connect across Integrated Communications and Marketing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in integrated communications, executive communications, corporate communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Experience in healthcare technology, health IT, or a regulated industry
  • Strong executive writing capability and editorial judgment
  • PR experience
  • Experience developing thought leadership content
  • Familiarity with regulated or claims-sensitive communications
  • High ownership and strong prioritization skills
  • Competency in AI utilization
