Job Description

Director of Product Design shaping Cyberhaven’s unified data security platform, Flow. Leading product design, UX research, design systems, and human-AI security workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end product design experience across Flow, HDS, ADS, and DSPM
  • Define the next-generation experience vision for human and AI-agent collaboration, including agent-assisted investigation, human-in-the-loop decisions, explainability, trust, and override patterns
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of product designers
  • Raise standards for design craft, critique, and decision-making
  • Own the UX research function and ground decisions in customer interviews, usability testing, support and RFE signals, and product instrumentation
  • Partner with product management and engineering from the earliest stages of major initiatives
  • Shape problem definitions and scope rather than styling predetermined decisions
  • Build and evolve the design system and reusable patterns
  • Establish and report design metrics including usability benchmarks, task success, time to resolution, adoption, support deflection, and related measures
  • Drive experience work behind the platform migration to Flow
  • Represent customer experience in roadmap reviews, business reviews, executive forums, and planning
  • Partner directly with the CPO, product management, engineering, and customer experience teams

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in product design
  • 4+ years leading and developing designers
  • Portfolio of shipped work demonstrating end-to-end product design
  • Experience setting and delivering an experience vision for a complex product
  • Experience with complex, expert-user enterprise software, such as security, IT operations, observability, or data infrastructure
  • Experience designing AI-powered or agentic product experiences
  • Strong systems thinking, platform-level information architecture, and design systems experience
  • Experience running and using UX research
  • Exceptional executive communication and influencing skills
  • People leadership, direct feedback, and team development experience
  • Ability to operate with urgency and judgment in a fast-moving environment
  • Located in the US; SF Bay Area preferred
  • Cybersecurity, security operations, insider risk, or data protection experience is a bonus
  • Experience leading a major platform migration or product consolidation is a bonus
  • Experience building a design function is a bonus
