Job Description
Director leading technical program management for New Relic’s observability platform. Driving finance initiatives, engineering efficiency, organizational OKRs, and cross-functional delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of technical program managers driving organizational OKRs
- Lead complex initiatives focused on efficiency and productivity while optimizing team execution and collaboration
- Manage and coach technical program managers and build the team’s technical program management bench strength
- Drive accountability for high performance
- Act as a Principal Program Manager on challenging finance-organization problems and projects
- Work with company leaders to drive key trade-off decisions
- Identify execution gaps and risks and take decisive action in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Serve as a conduit between the business and the home organization on projects and programs
- Build relationships with Directors, VPs, and other leaders across the company
- Partner with sales, marketing, finance, customer success, and support teams to launch new capabilities
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience or equivalent education in engineering and product delivery alongside engineers
- Versed in program management methods including Kanban, Lean, SAFe, and Scrum, with real-world applications at scale
- 8+ years of experience leading technical program management and/or engineering teams
- Aptitude for applying structure to ambiguity and driving measurable outcomes
- Strong communication skills and executive presence
- Ability to influence without organizational power
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical leaders
- Experience building trust relationships across an organization
- Experience assembling and leading cross-functional teams
- Working technical proficiency
- Deep understanding of the SDLC, engineering standards, and architectural risk management

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience (bonus qualification)
- Experience with Financial and CRM Systems, SaaS-based applications, and Jira (bonus qualification)
- Prior experience with high-growth companies and cross-functional projects (bonus qualification)
