Job Description
Field EDI Specialist supporting healthcare integrations, EMR connectivity, and client training for Labcorp in South Carolina. Liaising with sales and IT to implement laboratory interface solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between the sales organization and the IT Department
- Assist sales in closing new business
- Become involved at the onset of the sales process
- Support the installed base
- Visit clients, with mileage expensed
- Provide training for certain EMR applications
- Support integration, implementation, and functionality of interface solutions
- Support interface solutions and related workflows
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 or more years of EDI or Project Management experience, preferably in Healthcare
- 3 or more years of experience working with different EMR vendors and/or Labs on connectivity projects is a plus
- Current or prior Labcorp experience is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management, organizational, and customer service skills
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Working knowledge of the laboratory business and internal workflows
- Full-time, exempt position assigned to first shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST
- Flexibility to work earlier, later, or additional hours when business needs require, with reasonable notice when possible
