Job Description
Brand Licensing Specialist managing licensees and licensed product development for Scouting America, a youth-serving organization. Driving brand-compliant sales, royalties, retail distribution, and new partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the business performance and day-to-day account relationships for an assigned portfolio of licensees
- Identify opportunities to increase licensed product sales, expand product assortments, grow retail distribution, and maximize royalty revenue
- Coordinate development, review, approval, and launch of licensed products
- Review product concepts, artwork, packaging, advertising, and marketing materials for brand compliance
- Monitor licensee performance, sales activity, product launches, royalty reporting, and contractual compliance
- Assist with licensing agreements, amendments, renewals, and related documentation
- Research market trends, competitive products, and category opportunities
- Identify opportunities to expand existing licensing relationships through products, distribution, promotions, and merchandising
- Support new licensing business development through research, presentations, and outreach
- Coordinate product samples, trade shows, licensee meetings, and business development activities
- Maintain licensing records, product approvals, royalty documentation, and licensee information in licensing management systems
- Collaborate with Legal, Marketing, Merchandising, Program, and Finance departments
- Prepare reports, revenue forecasts, and business updates
- Participate in licensee meetings, retail visits, industry events, and trade shows
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in brand licensing, consumer products, merchandising, business development, or a related field
- Experience supporting licensed product development, account management, or brand partnerships is required
- Knowledge of operational and strategic decision making and strong business acumen
- In-depth knowledge of retail operations and business objectives
- Knowledge of trade show logistics and events
- Knowledge of Scouting America’s programs recommended
- Compelling communication skills
- Ability to drive for results, build partnerships, create solutions, and build customer loyalty
- Motivated self-starter who takes initiative
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize
