Job Description
Infrastructure Analyst responsible for designing and maintaining endpoint systems at Oregon Health & Science University. Collaborating with IT teams to enhance endpoint management and support services.
Responsibilities:
- Provides primary direction regarding the design, scripting, documentation, and maintenance of all endpoint images and configurations.
- Designs and implements desktop virtualization images as required to meet the various missions of OHSU.
- Provides escalation support for images and app volumes in the virtualized environment.
- Develops processes to manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
- Designs, installs, configures, and maintains various monitoring tools geared towards endpoints.
- Serves as technical leader for complex development projects; applies advanced knowledge of standard systems analysis principles, techniques, and established practices/procedures to projects where technical problems and objectives are minimally defined.
- Develops and maintains high availability server infrastructure that is used to distribute software packages to endpoints.
Requirements:
- Two or more years of paid work experience as a Field Technology Analyst/Desktop Support Analyst, or Systems Analyst position.
- Must have six years of cumulative paid working experience in the Information Technology field; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience where: One year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree
- Two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
- Experience Designing, implementing, and supporting new systems and infrastructure independently.
- LEAN methodology or like processes to manage projects.
- Supporting large mission critical systems in multiple production environments including solution design and tuning.
- Proven expertise maintaining and delivering virtual systems and applications.
- Networking protocols.
- Installation of client and server operating systems and operating system patching.
- Creating and implementing policies on client systems.
- Crash analysis and troubleshooting.
- Advanced experience using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
- Evaluation client hardware for a large environment (3,000 users and above).
