Job Description
Engineering Manager at Masabi leading a team delivering high-quality outcomes in a remote environment. Fostering a supportive team culture and collaborating with product and engineering peers.
Responsibilities:
- Own the day-to-day delivery of your team, ensuring predictable, high-quality outcomes aligned with product and business goals
- Lead delivery rituals such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives; continuously improve how your team works
- Partner closely with Product Managers to shape backlogs, clarify requirements, and align on priorities and timelines
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Principal Engineers to ensure alignment on technical direction and delivery plans
- Maintain operational excellence, including system reliability, incident management, and support processes
- Support and develop your team through regular 1:1s, feedback, and growth conversations
- Foster an inclusive, supportive team environment where people feel safe to contribute and grow
- Help manage performance, engagement, and wellbeing across the team, ensuring continuity during the maternity cover period
- Provide visibility on delivery progress, risks, and metrics to stakeholders
- Contribute to hiring and onboarding if needed, supporting the team’s stability and continuity
Requirements:
- You bring experience leading engineering teams in a product-led, SaaS environment
- You have a background in software engineering and are comfortable engaging in technical discussions with your team
- You’ve owned delivery outcomes end-to-end, balancing quality, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
- You’re a people-focused leader who enjoys coaching, mentoring, and supporting others to grow
- You communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You’re comfortable working across teams and time zones, building strong relationships with Product and Engineering peers
- You thrive in environments where priorities evolve, and you can bring clarity and structure when needed
- You approach leadership with empathy, curiosity, and a focus on continuous improvement
