Job Description
Evaporation Systems Commercialization Manager growing Alfa Laval’s U.S. industrial technology sales. Leading customer opportunities, sales enablement, pricing, and market-share expansion across the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Drive development of Evaporation Systems technology to maximize U.S. market share
- Co-lead strategic customer opportunities from opportunity identification through proposal development, presentations, negotiations, and deal closure
- Identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities in existing and emerging markets
- Analyze market insights and customer buying behavior to develop strategic sales plans
- Build relationships with customers, consultants, engineering firms, and influencers
- Participate in customer visits, discovery workshops, site assessments, and executive presentations
- Lead the Evaporation Systems portion of strategic customer engagements and coordinate internal resources
- Develop sales-team competence with product and applications teams
- Coach Sales Managers and Product & Application Engineers through active customer opportunities
- Develop sales tools, customer presentations, competitive positioning, and demonstration materials
- Develop competitive pricing strategies with the U.S. Sales Organization
- Represent Evaporation Systems within Alfa Laval and drive commercial sales strategies and programs
- Provide global teams with U.S. market insights and communicate local customer needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred), Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of evaporation experience in engineering, technical sales, product management, or process development
- Experience preferably in Food, Beverage, Dairy, Personal Care, or Life Science industries
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Proven success in customer-facing roles such as sales, application engineering, or technical support
- Strong communication and presentation skills with technical and executive stakeholders
- Expertise managing direct, distributor, and national-account sales channels
- Strong strategic and analytical skills and data-driven decision-making
- Proficiency in Excel or other data management tools for analyzing and maximizing sales data
- Willingness to travel 50%-60% across the United States
- Candidates must reside in the U.S. or have an established presence in the area
