Job Description
Event Manager coordinating large-scale donor acquisition and fundraising events for World Vision, a global Christian humanitarian organization. Managing logistics, vendors, strategy, execution, and results analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the planning process and participate in the design, strategy, and execution of meetings and special events focused on donor acquisition and fundraising
- Manage event planning and coordinating logistics
- Oversee facility selection, contract negotiations, event registration, food and beverage selection, audiovisual services, transportation, and related details
- Engage World Vision U.S. staff and leaders to set event strategy and ensure effective implementation
- Serve as liaison between contractors, organizers, and World Vision U.S. leadership
- Ensure proper execution of event preparation and production details
- Support event marketing as needed
- Report on event results, analyze effectiveness, and recommend modifications to future event strategy
- Collaborate with team members and perform other assigned duties
- Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities; follow organizational policies and procedures
- Help carry out World Vision's Christian organization mission, vision, and strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years)
- In addition to education or education equivalent, 4 years of work experience including successful large-scale event planning/management
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer
- Approximately 75% domestic travel required
- Project management skills
- Event planning skills combining marketing and public relations expertise with creativity
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities
- Customer-focused solution design skills
- Commitment to Christian conduct and participation in organizational spiritual disciplines
