Job Description
Events Intern supporting Make-A-Wish Alabama’s special events, individual giving, and corporate alliances. Coordinating auction items, donor outreach, data entry, event quotes, and database research.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Development Team with planning and execution of Make-A-Wish Alabama special events
- Assist with individual giving initiatives
- Assist with corporate alliances
- Solicit silent auction items
- Send mass emails
- Call vendors, donors, and wish families
- Perform data entry
- Obtain quotes for events
- Use the donor database to pull information
- Conduct research
- Attend some after-hour/weekend events
Requirements:
- Internship position
- Ability to assist with planning and execution of special events, individual giving, and corporate alliances
- Ability to solicit silent auction items
- Mass emailing skills
- Ability to call vendors, donors, and wish families
- Data entry skills
- Ability to obtain event quotes
- Experience or ability to use a donor database to pull information
- Research skills
