Job Description
Facilities Manager overseeing Western Australia commercial building systems, contractors, and compliance for JLL, a global real estate and investment management services provider.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary representative on site for day-to-day management of key Western Australia assets and associated plant and equipment
- Oversee building services including fire systems, electrical systems, HVAC, lifts, access control, and building intelligence systems
- Liaise with tenants, property managers, the Head of Engineering and Operations Services, contractors, and stakeholders
- Review energy, water, and waste consumption data and identify operational and sustainability improvements
- Procure and tender contractors for planned preventative maintenance contracts and capital projects
- Conduct inspections of common areas, building exteriors, foyers, carparks, fire stairs, and passageways; arrange defect and hazard rectification
- Maintain building documentation, logbooks, induction manuals, risk registers, and compliance records
- Implement and monitor security services and cleaning contractor performance
- Program building systems, access permissions, public-holiday time clocks, and after-hours air-conditioning schedules
- Ensure contractor inductions, training, permits, building rules, and safety protocols are maintained
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in facilities management with a focus on managing multi-story commercial properties and their complex building systems including fire protection, electrical, HVAC, and building automation systems
- Proven track record in contractor management including procurement, tendering, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation at national, state, and local levels
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with tenants, clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to assess and manage risks associated with building operations, implement control measures, and respond effectively to emergency situations on a 24/7 basis
- Computer literacy with proficiency in facilities management systems, building automation platforms, and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple assets, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in facilities management, property services, engineering, or a related discipline (preferred)
