Job Description
Field Medical Director responsible for providing medical expertise for rare diseases and coordinating with multiple stakeholders at Pfizer. Educating external medical communities and overseeing project implementations while maintaining compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute independent Medical strategies and engagements for assigned external medical stakeholders
- Maintain knowledge of relevant TA/disease states and Pfizer medicines
- Serve as a conduit for Medical Information and external stakeholder insights
- Understand priorities of Pfizer Medical Affairs to contribute to educational content strategy development
- Demonstrate expertise in scientific communication across multiple channels
- Optimize patient care improvement in Medical communications
- Educate external stakeholders based on patient care gaps
- Achieve leadership-defined expectations regarding stakeholder engagement
- Identify and seek medical scientific engagement from priority external medical stakeholder segments
- Collaborate with US and/or Global Medical Affairs colleagues
- Provide Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process
- Cultivate research and therapeutic area expertise
Requirements:
- MD or DO Degree required
- 4 years of relevant experience required
- Subject matter expert recognized across internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and respond to multiple external and internal stakeholders’ demands
- Ability to manage a significant volume of projects developed in a remote environment
- Collaborate effectively within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrate clinical and technical skills
