Job Description
Field Safety Professional conducting hazard assessments and improving safety programs at Grainger. Partnering with customers to design safety solutions while expanding partnerships across territories.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs analysis to determine a match between the customer's requirement and Grainger's products or services
- Engage Grainger resources to develop plan and timeline to implement solution
- Drive implementation plan with customer
- Check with customer to ensure needs are met
- Leverage post-implementation success to gain more information from the customer about future needs
- Maintain expertise in Safety Regulations and industry topics
- Educate customers on changing market trends and technology and impact to their business
- Investigate nonstandard solutions that will profitably satisfy a customer's needs
- Expand customer understanding and use of Grainger's standard product and service capabilities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant EHS industry experience involving safety hazard analysis and mitigation, safety consulting or responsibility for overseeing safety programs
- Bachelor's degree including the fields of Safety, Environmental Science, Public Health, or equivalent experience
- CSP ideal
- Experience conducting workplace assessments to prevent injuries / accidents and improve compliance
- Knowledgeable of Safety, Health and Environmental strategies and practices to reduce or eliminate hazards and risks
- Current working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards
- Basic project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A desire to help others
