Job Description

Field Service Specialist managing the Hatchery In Ovo Process for Zoetis in British Columbia. Responsible for customer service programs and emergency repairs in poultry hatcheries.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Hatchery In Ovo Process on behalf Zoetis in an assigned territory of 5-8 hatcheries
  • Administering the Preventive Maintenance Program for 10-15 commercially placed devices
  • Providing electrical/mechanical support and perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Being available for afterhours support and repairs 24/7.
  • Managing the Zoetis Operator Training Program for 25+ people (customer employees)
  • Facilitating the vaccine and sanitation preparation program for all Zoetis Devices
  • Supporting and conducting the execution of the Zoetis Process Evaluation Program
  • Leading communications with hatchery management
  • Collecting and reporting important information within Zoetis CRM System
  • Completing relevant reporting forms and procedures including scheduling visits, customer site contacts, parts usage priorities, site cart management, certification program, vehicle and equipment maintenance within assigned time period.
  • Following safety/precautionary procedures.
  • Maintaining regular communication with supervisor
  • Other duties as Assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in poultry science or related field from an accredited institution or associates degree in Electro/Mechanical Systems or related curriculum (experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement)
  • 2 - 5 years of related experience.
  • Strong electrical / mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient organizational skills
  • Self-motivator and self-starter
  • Strong critical thinking problem solving, judgment, and initiative
  • Effective communication skills are necessary to interact directly with multiple levels of customer management
  • Basic computer skills using Word / Excel / and Outlook and basic PLC skills
  • Ability to travel 60 to 80% of the time
  • Available for on-call work outside of working hours
