Job Description
T-Mobile field technician supporting Denver-area wireless network operations. Troubleshooting RAN, backhaul, base stations, and outage recovery across field sites.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to resolve network performance issues and contribute to outage resolution efforts
- Manage smaller projects or project segments and deliver accurate status and progress updates
- Identify and recommend process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities
- Assist in developing job aids, scopes of work, and procedural documentation with senior technicians
- Complete required training to maintain current knowledge of systems, products, and organizational standards
- Continuously develop skills through training, certifications, and hands-on experience
- Support network operations in the Denver market and help maintain and improve network performance and reliability
- Perform other duties and projects assigned by business management
- Travel across a wide area of sites, including day and night work, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
- Acceptable areas of study include Vocational/Technical Training or related field (Preferred)
- 2–4 years of working experience in Field Operations and maintenance
- 2–4 years of wireless telecommunications or related experience
- Knowledge of electronics and interconnecting circuits, including RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio, AC-DC power systems, and AI
- Practical knowledge of Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture, components, and operations
- Understanding of wireless backhaul technologies and configurations, including microwave and fiber-based solutions
- Experience with or ability to learn 5G New Radio (NR) standards and RAN equipment
- Working knowledge of base station equipment, installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Familiarity with disaster recovery protocols and contingency planning
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues across hardware and software systems
- Project management skills for planning and completing field assignments
- Ability to provide hands-on technical support to internal teams and partners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and similar productivity tools
- Understanding of Internet Protocol and willingness to use AI-driven tools
- Ability to use fiber test, line, and antenna test equipment (Preferred)
- Must work flexible hours, including day and night work, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation
- Ability to lift 50–70 pounds and work outside in the elements
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company-assigned vehicle
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Travel required
