Job Description
Finance Manager overseeing financial operations and multi-year programs at Generate Canada. Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of financial system upgrades to enhance reporting, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Support monthly close activities including reconciliations, schedules, accruals, and adjustments.
- Execute accurate, compliant payroll processing with oversight from the Sr. Manager, Finance & IT.
- Support the development and maintenance of financial controls, standardized procedures, and documentation that support audit readiness and cross-organizational consistency.
- Develop and manage multi-year program budgets, forecasts, and financial models in collaboration with program leads and executive leadership.
- Monitor cash flow, grant allocations, and project-level expenditures to support the financial sustainability of long-duration, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in financial operations, accounting, and budget management.
- Demonstrated ability to design, manage, and improve financial processes and reporting systems.
- Advanced spreadsheet and financial modeling skills.
- Proven ability to support operational and executive leaders with analysis, options, and recommendations.
- Experience managing multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing organizational needs.
