Job Description

Financial Data & AI Operations Associate ensuring accuracy and usability of financial data for lenders. Involved in financial analysis, data validation, customer onboarding, and product improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Review outputs from AI systems (data extraction, classification, financial summaries, risk signals)
  • Cross-check outputs against source documents (bank statements, invoices, audited accounts, tax records)
  • Identify hallucinations, inconsistencies, and edge cases
  • Provide structured feedback to improve prompts, models, and workflows
  • Help define validation rules and escalation thresholds
  • Validate onboarding inputs including company financials, financing requests, repayment terms, and operational data
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and logical consistency of all submissions
  • Normalize and structure financial data into platform-ready formats
  • Validate key financial metrics (revenue, margins, cash flow, inventory turnover)
  • Review uploaded documents (bank statements, certificates, contracts)
  • Ensure documents meet required standards and match submitted data
  • Manage verification statuses and audit trails
  • Support workflows for invoice financing, purchase order financing, inventory financing, and asset financing
  • Guide SMEs through onboarding and application processes
  • Explain documentation requirements and data expectations
  • Troubleshoot issues related to uploads, validation errors, and missing information
  • Ensure a smooth, high-quality onboarding experience
  • Cross-check backend data with frontend submissions
  • Identify mismatches, anomalies, and system inconsistencies
  • Monitor workflows and flag bottlenecks or failures
  • Work with engineering to improve validation logic and system reliability
  • Identify recurring issues and propose scalable fixes
  • Improve validation rules, workflows, and UX
  • Contribute to training datasets for AI models
  • Support development of internal tools for validation and QA
  • Assist in preparing applications for lender review
  • Support compliance and restricted-use checks
  • Ensure auditability and traceability of all financial data
  • Flag high-risk or inconsistent applications

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience (finance, audit, operations, fintech, or consulting)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
  • Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet)
  • Ability to interpret financial data and identify inconsistencies
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and documents
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Nice to Have:
  • CPA
  • Experience in audit, lending, SME finance, or fintech
  • Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) and their limitations
  • Experience with bookkeeping tools or financial systems
  • Exposure to operations, product, or startup environments
