Job Description

Sr. Accountant managing Workday Financials migration for U.S. tech company on a 6-month contract. Leading financial data migration and training teams on new systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design sessions to define the Foundation Data Model (FDM) and configure business processes, account posting rules, and security assignments
  • Oversee the extraction, cleansing, and mapping of legacy financial data into Workday, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
  • Develop comprehensive test scripts and participate in and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate financial controls, purge logic, and reporting accuracy
  • Design advanced financial reports and dashboards (Balance Sheet, P&L, etc.) using Workday Report Writer and Composite Reports
  • Design and execute a "train-the-trainer" program to develop a network of internal, cross-functional Workday SMEs capable of sustained support post-go-live
  • Create comprehensive, role-specific training manuals, job aids, and documentation
  • Provide expert troubleshooting for system issues during the initial stabilization period and manage service update evaluations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is highly preferred
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as an accountant, with Workday Financials and at least one full lifecycle implementation
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, FDM architecture, and Workday modules such as Record to Report (R2R) and Procure to Pay (P2P)
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and the capacity to drive consensus and manage change effectively among cross-functional teams
  • Must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders.
