Job Description
Global Privacy Director responsible for data protection strategy at TaskUs. Ensure compliance with global privacy laws and lead a multicultural team in various regions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a global privacy roadmap
- Act as subject matter expert on global privacy laws
- Partner with Sales and Legal for Data Processing Addendums (DPAs)
- Collaborate with Product and AI Operations teams
- Embed privacy requirements in product development and onboarding processes
- Oversee third-party vendor privacy due diligence
- Lead Global Privacy Incident Response Team
- Manage Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and audits
- Foster culture of privacy awareness within the organization
- Lead and scale global privacy team
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in data privacy, legal, or compliance
- At least 5 years in a global leadership role
- Experience in BPO, SaaS, or Tech sectors
- Experience managing diverse teams across multiple jurisdictions
- JD or equivalent advanced degree (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, or Business (required)
- CIPP/E, CIPP/US, and CIPM (IAPP) certifications (highly preferred)
- Deep understanding of data flows in cloud infrastructure and AI/ML pipelines
- Experience managing remote, multicultural teams
