Job Description
GQA AI Technical Manager leading BSI’s global AI certification and regulatory assessment programs. Managing conformity assessment, accreditation schemes, and AI compliance across Europe and the US.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team providing regulatory and accreditation leadership to BSI's Artificial Intelligence certification body, notified body and assessment teams globally
- Manage AI notified body and AI certification body schemes globally within ISO17021, ISO17065, ISO17025 and applicable accreditation and legislation requirements
- Lead development and maintenance of Conformity Assessment Activity for providers and manufacturers
- Ensure technology and processes conform to EU AI Regulations, applicable standards and global regulatory requirements
- Ensure BSI policies, procedures and documentation meet current AI regulatory obligations
- Ensure NB, AI Services and AIMS personnel work at the required level of expertise and rigour
- Provide policy, input and expertise on AI technical and AI management systems assessment
- Develop related certification schemes
- Represent BSI at AI events, forums, stakeholder engagements and working groups
Requirements:
- BSc degree or higher in a discipline relevant to Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Information Technology, Quality Assurance or equivalent
- At least four years' post-graduate experience in conformity assessment, quality management, software development, quality policy/regulation, or standardization development
- At least one year of experience related to AI
- Experience in AI Lifecycle and Quality aspects, and Regulatory aspects of AI products
- Experience managing a team
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly communication and influencing skills
