Job Description
Head of Engineering leading a rebuild for a fast-growing aviation software organization. Focusing on modernizing a legacy platform used in security-heavy environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering through a major platform rebuild
- Improve release speed and delivery consistency
- Coach engineers and raise accountability across the team
- Unblock tough technical issues and guide architecture decisions
- Partner with product on roadmap, scope, and tradeoffs
- Fix communication gaps across engineering and leadership
- Reduce bottlenecks in QA, deployment, and production signoff
Requirements:
- 8+ years in software engineering leadership
- Strong B2B SaaS leadership background
- Player-coach style; still close to code and systems
- Experience modernizing legacy platforms
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management
- U.S. citizenship required
