Job Description
Head of Enterprise IT building internal systems, networks, security, and support from scratch. Supporting a tech company expanding cloud/gaming infrastructure into AI data centers in Poland.
Responsibilities:
- Build and own the internal company IT infrastructure from scratch, separate from the customer-facing production stack
- Establish IAM, network security, and VPN infrastructure for a distributed, multi-office organization
- Set up office networks, employee access, and corporate hardware/software provisioning
- Build and scale a helpdesk/IT support function serving all offices and locations
- Own security policies for internal systems, separate from production data-center security
- Manage the Enterprise IT budget and vendor/SaaS relationships
- Ensure GDPR compliance and internal data protection controls
- Coordinate with the CTO on integration between corporate systems and the production platform, including billing and monitoring
- Oversee corporate systems such as ERP, CRM, HRMS, Slack, Google Workspace, and Jira where relevant
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in IT management, with 3+ years in a leadership/Head of IT role
- Demonstrated experience building an IT function/infrastructure from scratch (greenfield site, new company, new office, or major infrastructure re-platform)
- Hands-on experience with IAM, network security, and VPN infrastructure
- Experience managing IT operations across multiple offices/locations
- Experience managing IT budgets and vendor/SaaS contract negotiations
- Working knowledge of GDPR and internal data compliance requirements
- Experience building or scaling a helpdesk/support function
- English proficiency sufficient for international vendor and stakeholder communication
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, ISO 27001, CISSP, CompTIA Security+) [nice-to-have]
- Polish and/or Ukrainian language skills [nice-to-have]
- Experience managing enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRMS) end-to-end [nice-to-have]
- Experience in a fast-scaling company environment [nice-to-have]
- Familiarity with integrating corporate systems with production/billing platforms [nice-to-have]
- Experience supporting distributed/international teams (Poland/Ukraine/EU) [nice-to-have]
