Job Description

HVAC Technician servicing commercial cooling systems at cell tower telecom shelters. Supporting Pearce’s North American electromechanical infrastructure maintenance operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters at cell tower sites
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and replace cooling-system components and complete systems
  • Conduct performance checks and regular HVAC maintenance
  • Perform maintenance and upgrades on out-of-season HVAC equipment
  • Respond promptly to service calls, including emergency call-outs
  • Complete daily work reports accurately and on time
  • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally
  • Travel extensively to remote work sites, including occasional overnight trips
  • Work independently in a regional position serving the telecom industry

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Universal EPA Certification required
  • 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance; commercial experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems, preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and by email
  • Ability to comply with OSHA, FCC, FAA, and EPA standards
  • Must reside within 60 miles of Deposit, New York
  • Availability for occasional after-hours and weekend call-outs
  • Extensive daily travel and independent work
  • Ability to work outdoors in ambient temperatures
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Must pass a Department of Transportation physical
  • Ability to operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally
